Volunteer with Gowanbank

Volunteers are at the heart of SU Scotland, contributing time and commitment towards our vision of seeing every child and young person in Scotland exploring the Bible and responding to the significance of Jesus. Could you partner in this vision?

If you’ve ever visited Gowanbank, you will have seen the friendly faces of some of our many volunteers. Maybe you’ve seen them working hard keeping the grounds looking beautiful, or serving tea and coffee, or maybe you’ve only heard their voices as they worked away in the busy kitchen preparing delicious food! These volunteers really help to keep all of the many plates spinning at Gowanbank. We couldn’t do the work we do without our team of volunteers. In 2025, our volunteers gave over 1000 hours of time to Gowanbank. What a gift they are!

We are always in need of new volunteers to join our team. Whatever you love to do, and whatever gifts you have, we’re sure we can find a role to suit you. From cutting the grass, to painting, gardening, cooking, cleaning, admin work, and more!

If you’re interested in giving your time to help support our work, we’d love to hear from you. Even just a few hours a month can make the biggest difference. Get in touch to start a conversation about what this could look like for you.

"I have really enjoyed the time I have spent cooking both at Gowanbank and Lendrick Muir, enjoying the atmosphere of the kitchens and the fellowship of other Christians."
